Alzheimer's is the most common type of dementia

The most common type of dementia. A disease that destroys brain cells that causes thinking and memory to decline. The disease is progressive and memory loss normally starts with current memories and eventually progresses to later memories. Motor skills like walking, talking are also lost.

Alzheimer's is irreversible.


Unfortunately for my family. My wife [ Joanne ], was diagnosed in 2015 at age 63.

I would like to share some of the experiences that we have gone through, I would love to hear from other people that have gone through this.

The reasons.

Renowned clinician scientists are on the path to a treatment with potential to prevent and possibly reverse the effects of Alzheimer’s.

University of Alberta Professor and renowned neurologist Jack Jhamandas has been researching Alzheimer’s disease for more than 20 years and is on the edge of a promising new drug candidate with the potential to not only prevent, but reverse the devastating effects of Alzheimer’s disease.
